Hi Everyone... Get ready to swing 3 times this week -- TUE, WED & FRI -- at the Gulfport Casino!  --Sam

This Tuesday, September 29th, FOX 13 features Swing Time!  ...YOUR CHANCE TO BE ON TV!  Fox 13 is featuring Swing Time in advance of our 9th Anniversary Celebration!  We're putting on a swing dance for the Morning Show to be broadcast live throughout the morning on Fox 13!  So this Tuesday, September 29th, 7AM-9AM (yes, that's AM in the morning), you're invited to the Gulfport Casino for a free swing dance!  Please arrive early (doors open 6:30am) and enjoy the free doughnuts, refreshments, coffee and juice!  Dress to impress; swing & vintage attire are encouraged.  We'll have general swing dancing, a mini lesson, a Shim Sham, a Dance Jam, Charleston Lines, and all the usual fun stuff.  Bring your best moves and tricks for the dance jam!  Fox will broadcast us live throughout the 7-9am Morning Show, including five teasers and three 2-3 minute segments!  All swing dancers are invited, so be there!

This Wednesday, September 30th, is the Gulfport Casino Swing Night, with Triple Time -- Advancing Your Swing Lessons 6-7pm, followed by Swing Dance Lessons 7-8pm, and Swing Music & Dancing 8-11pm.  Admission to Wednesday Swing Nights is just $7, which includes 2 Free Lessons and great all-around fun for all ages!  No partner is needed.   STUDENT SPECIAL!  Show school ID, pay your $7 admission, and receive a Free Pass good for any upcoming Wednesday!

This Friday, October 2nd -- is Swing Time's 9th Anniversary Celebration at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom, featuring live & swingin' music by Charlie Vegas & the New Blues Combo, plus a Jack-&-Jill Dance Contest at intermission with $100 Cash 1st Prize!  Make plans now to attend, and read all about it below!

This Friday, October 2nd, at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom is Swing Time's 9th Anniversary Celebration, featuring live & swingin' music by Charlie Vegas & the New Blues Combo!  The Celebration includes hours of live music & dancing (9:00pm-12:30am), a group swing-dance lesson (8-9pm; no partner needed), anniversary cake, prize giveaways, and a dance contest at intermission with $100 cash first prize!

Get ready to jump... get ready to rock... get ready to swing! ...with Tampa Bay's most exciting swingin' act, Charlie Vegas & the New Blues Combo!  This talented & energetic band features sax, drums, bass, and Charlie himself on guitar, harmonica & vocals.  The band is a hot commodity, recently backing doo-wop & rockabilly legends, The Coasters, Rosie Flores, and Wanda Jackson!  Whether it's uptempo & jumpin' or low down & gritty, these guys deliver a huge and varied repertoire of dance favorites... along with the power, the sound, and the excitement that'll pull you up out of your seat and get you onto your feet!

Swing Time is Florida's Premier Swing Event, held the first Friday of every month in Tampa Bay at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom.  The Gulfport Casino is located in the St. Petersburg area at 5500 Shore Blvd. S., Gulfport FL 33707.
